What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
To deliver a more personal experience on this site, we do collect some personal information. We use software that’s publicly available to deliver the most relevant information possible whenever we can. Our goal is to give you the best experience possible when browsing or buying on ashleyandellory.com.
Some of the information we might collect from you is your first and last name, phone number, mailing address, and sometimes your IP address for security. However, we typically don’t ask for or retain your mailing address unless we’re sending you something in the mail after you purchase a product, and we only log your IP address for security reasons pertaining to your username and password if you log in.
We collect this information via technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third-party embeds.
If/when you leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
You can delete your comments at any time.
If you upload images to the website (for example, for a testimonial) you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you fill out a contact form or fill out an application, we might also collect some additional information form you.
In addition to the fields into which you input your information or other data, we might collect your IP address for geolocation. We do this mostly to know what country or part of the world our traffic is coming from. This does not tell us your home address. Any IP address or geolocation information is tied only to the information you submitted on the form, not to a particular username or anything else. We keep the information in these forms indefinitely.
We do not use IP addresses or geolocation information for marketing purposes.
We may use the information you send us via contact forms for marketing purposes.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Like many other Web sites, Ashleyandellory.com makes use of log files. These files merely log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
You can always clear the cookies of your browser in the settings area of your browser.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and/or blog posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
An example of this would be YouTube videos found on this site that might show related or relevant content after the video has finished.
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about how you use this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information.
Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google.
You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser.
We use tracking code from these and other 3rd party sources to help us track visitors to our site, follow traffic sources and patterns, and to see if our ads are working. We also use this tracking data so we can advertise to you after you’ve left our site.

How we protect your data
To protect your data, we’ve restricted access to the owners of this website. We use two-factor authentication to restrict access and prevent anyone other than an administrator from accessing your data.
What this means is that any time someone tries to log into the site as an administrator, in addition to their username and password, they’re also required to input a 6 digit number provided by a secured and approved device. These 6 digit numbers reset every 30 seconds. If the code you enter doesn’t match the code provided by the secured app, login access is denied. It’s pretty cool.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In this section, you should explain what procedures you have in place to deal with data breaches, either potential or real, such as internal reporting systems, contact mechanisms, or bug bounties.
